HISTORY
The Meeker family has a long history in the cedar products manufacturing business, dating back to 1925, when Henry C. Meeker moved his family to British Columbia from Connecticut and began manufacturing lumber in the interior region.

This interest in the wood business carried on when his son Townsend, better known as Toke, moved to the Fraser Valley in the 1940's and built what is still one of the largest shake mills in the industry. He traveled the US extensively over the years, promoting and virtually creating the marketplace for handsplit and resawn shakes, as the market had seen only shingles previously. His efforts paid off, and split and resawn shakes became predominant in many regions in the US.

The family tradition continued when Toke's son Clayton, not to mention his five other sons, became actively involved in the cedar shake and shingle industry.

Clayton built his first mill, Clayton Cedar Products in the early 1970's and later, Anbrook Industries began producing shakes and shingles next door to the Clayton Cedar mill.

Today, Anbrook Industries Ltd. is known throughout the industry as a leading producer of premium quality shakes and shingles, which since the mid 1990's, have been marketed throughout the world by Clayton's daughter, Brooke.

As the climate in the forest industry continues to shift, our commitment to quality and consistency remains our number one priority. In the tradition of our family, we look to the future with confidence, continually striving for a better quality product to offer to our customers at a competitive market price.
