Alaskan yellow cedar
Alaskan Yellow Cedar, or Cypress as it is actually called, is a much denser wood than western red cedar, and has a distinctive blond color that tends to fade in a very uniform way to a true silvery grey, which has given its’ rise in popularity over the past 5 years. Typically this wood is applied untreated, and can be used on either sidewall or roof applications.
